The personal information we collect during account registration may depend on your account type but could include name, phone number, date of birth, email address, mailing address and other contact information. We also collect additional information if you provide it in your profile, which could include the name of your college or university (name, city, state), graduation year, photo, and social media handle(s). If a user enrolls for the Service using a Student Account, we may request additional pieces of personal information to verify your eligibility for the Service, such as by verifying your enrollment status in a college or university.

We may also receive information from any third-party services that you link to the Service. For example, if you link your Talesconnect account to your account on a social network such as Discord or Slack, these services will authenticate your identity and may provide some of your personal information to us. We may also receive personal information from website and service operators, payment processors, marketing partners, and shipping providers. The data we receive is dependent on that third party's policies and your privacy settings on that third-party service. We will store your authentication token and any personal information the service provides to us in order to provide you with the Service.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information that we collect from or about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the Service may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail.
Further, we limit access to personal information to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
